 Charlie --
This is nothing new. Amazon Prime Video is a streaming service.
They have been getting more into original productions to try to shore up their user base, and to try to generate new revenues. The video in question is a drama -- also known as a biopic -- like the one about Edison and Tesla which was produced by another company for theatrical release in October a couple of years ago (the time i did my presentation to our Lexington Technology Group) . There was also from someone else, a recent streaming series on Chernobyl, which was also more fiction than fact
This is Amazon, not PBS.
All three productions are highly fictionalized, and are considered dramas, not documentaries. So no, this is not intended to be viewed as an educational video. The educational materials may be an attempt to market this movie as a classroom project, but this is probably not the movie's primary purpose.

I wonder if this movie and the associated educational materials presage an attempt by Amazon to get into the Education Market, perhaps to become part of home schooling?

Radioactive [1] is a recent Amazon Original release about the life story
of Marie Curie. It is free to stream on Amazon Prime Video if you are a
Amazon Prime member.

The movie contains politics at the time concerning Marie but there are
also forward references to Chernobyl, Hiroshima, cancer radiation
treatments, and atomic bomb testing.
