Just to say...  if the building had a sprinkler system and you had a pandemic to kill off traffic, then this is all moot.

Yes, does seem like an "artist's rendering".  Personally, this makes much more sense, just bring nozzles and water hoses up, and maybe just hook over a railing or something?  For rescues, sure, drones could just tote something like an enclosed airplane slide tube up and have escapees latch it onto something.  Far simpler means something that works, yes?

The idea that big vehicles could somehow travel over traffic has been around for a while, but delicately on two wheels like a stunt driver?  I'm not convinced.  Here's one from a few years back you've probably seen?

If you look at the last frame of the video when it stops, it is clearly a CGI (Computer Generated Image).  If you replay the video, you can see other indications of it being CGIs, especially in the pedestrians. An interesting concept but I don't see how it would work, at least the part of a severely top heavy load balancing on line contact while making dynamic turns.  I guess a massive, vertical axis gyroscope could manage it but, while an interesting concept, I don't think it would be ultimately practical.  If the hovering drone part could work, why not just fly it to the fire?
