What scientists know about the inner workings of the pathogen that has
infected the world.  This article from SCIAM is a series of animations
about how the CoronaVirus does its damage.  One thing that I kept thinking
about was how much this seems to be like a machine or a computer program
implementing a virtual machine with various if/then/elses and repeat loops.
