[Lex Computer & Tech Group/LCTG] [lexington] Internet is hefty

I am thinking more of the official conference calls when I say this, but
still..

I think if people can be considerate and switch off video if not needed,
that would help. Does everyone really need to see everyone? Question that.

Do so many people need to be on each call? Question the participants - feel
free to announce the purpose and objective of the call again and define an
audience if you can and allow participants to drop off if they do not meet
that criteria. Too many people feel the pressure to be in on everything
because they are out of the office. Assure them.

Equally, if you can switch to an audio only conference call - depending on
the phones or services you use - Whatsapp, Facetime, conferencing in
someone on that cellular call, that may reduce the load somewhat or at
least move it elsewhere.

Finally, do you even need a conference call? See how many 1:1 conversations
may help arrive at an outcome or even email or instant message
conversations...

I am fully aware, the above is not for everyone, but hope anything in there
may be useful for those working from home.

regards
Tushar
