discuss the role of critical thinking and rigorous skepticism in science and in everyday life. There is a reason scientists were fooled by some claims about the paranormal -- they didn't know the tricks of magicians! 
Penn and Teller continue the tradition of debunking fake claims, though they no longer produce new segments of their cable TV series titled "Bullshit". Penn Gillette has done several interviews which can be found on YouTube about the role of skepticism in science and everyday life. 
So, how can we be SURE he's really dead?
