I have to make a correction to my previous email. In reading the Orbit
section of the wikipedia article on the Webb the telescope will be put in a
halo orbit about L2. What I didn't realize in the size of the halo orbit.
It turns out that it has an average radius of about 500,000 mi, so it will
probably be in full sunshine most if not all of the time. It will take
about 0.5 year to complete one orbit.
