Craig Fields lived in the room next to mine our first two years at MIT.  For
part of his career he ran DARPA and this interview from 2007, though a bit
lengthy, is fascinating.  Thought you'd want to read it.  He subsequently
went on to do a lot of other interesting things and was the brightest guy I
ever encountered.
