There [1] was an article in the WSJ today about this.
Stock prices sometimes are stored as 32 bit words with scaling for
fractional dollars in some computers. The precision is 1/100 of a cent.
The maximum amount is $429,496.7295. Berkshire Hathaway Inc. Class A [2]
stock has never split and closed at $424,840.00 today.
People are scrambling...
