I saw a 3D photo of a tumor which came, I believe, from an MRI.  One could
rotate the tumor and see it from all sides and the software had a ruler
which one could superimpose and read a given dimension on this "jagged"
piece of tissue.

 

I would assume that there is software that can take a 3D model of something
and calculate volume.  I thought that this was available 30 years ago.
Anyone know about this?
