[Lex Computer & Tech Group/LCTG] follow-up question re hard drives and long term storage

A service like Carbonite (or Backblaze, which is what I use) backs up your
computer. For Carbonite apparently it only allows one connected drive.
For Backblaze, there doesn't appear to be a limit to number of connected
drives (I'm currently having BackBlaze back up my computer and 4 connected
external drives (these ranging in size from 2TB to 8TB), and Backblaze has
no backup size limits.

You didn't say how much total space she would need as this may determine
what service or services she would need.

If all she wants is a way to back up all of her pictures to prevent a
catastrophe if a local drive fails, then she could consider a paid cloud
storage option such as Dropbox, iCloud, Google Drive, and others.

Given that this is a topic of interest and concern to me, I've done some
research and collected this in my Wiki. Take a look at the information
I've collected (https://wiki.toku.us/doku.php?id=cloud_storage_options).
The information is from December 2019 and thus the sizes and costs may be
different now but this might be a worthwhile place to start.

Regards,
-steve
