 So how do birds manage the changes in the locations of the Earth's magnetic poles? These are quite significant, even if we ignore the occasional magnetic field reversals. 
Presently the Earth's magnetic field is weakening and may be splitting apart, which would result in several magnetic "poles" in different geographic locations. What would birds do then?
