[Lex Computer & Tech Group/LCTG] Windows 11

Although my own new NUC-PC (Panther Canyon, 11th-Gen Intel core i-5)  does handily meet the windows 11 standards, I won't be getting into Windows 11 any time soon. Let the "dot-zero" bugs get ID'd and shaken out first. Try for the First Feature Update version instead. Just my opinion.
BTW, Secure Boot and TPM 2.0 do not allow easy booting from USB drives. That wipes out my entire Linux arrangement as it stands.

My laptop also do not meet the minimum hardware requirements and hence can’t be updated to Windows 11. They want us all to buy new hardware and boost the economy🤓

I received a recent automatic OS update for Windows 10 which included a Windows 11 prerequisite check.

After navigating start -> Settings -> Update & Security saw this message:

This PC doesn't meet all the system requirements for Windows 11.

All my PCs - including a fairly recent Microsoft Surface - showed this message.

In general, I don't bother to do major upgrades unless there is a compelling reason. If I want Windows 11, I'll probably buy a new PC with Windows 11 pre-installed. Hardware is cheap.

Microsoft has recently published an end date of support for Windows 10 as October 14, 2025, so we should be good for at least 4 more years at this point.
