Re. Adam Broun and his possible preferences for Mac and Linux over Windows.
I too got into Linux. This happened after that awful windows 8.0 dual-interface fiasco. I went over to Ubuntu Linux as my desktop mainstay and except for going over to the Ubuntu-Unity fork, I have never looked back. Until Canonical began forcing Snaps onto Ubuntu. Now I'm reconsidering, and looking into other Linux distros. (Mepis or Anti-X, now known as MX Linux, looks promising.) It's a never-ending battle if we want to reclaim our desktops.
Which is not to say Linux is without intractable issues, or at least some issues so vexing and long-standing that new Linux users are often seriously put off by some of the problems Linux is prone to. So I do have to work pretty hard for my OS and software freedom. But most days, it's worth it. Especially the day after Patch Tuesday.

I had a hate-hate relationship with Windows 10, upgraded to 11 and have had a much better experience, would recommend if your computer can handle it.
That said, I’ve been gradually exorcizing Windows from my home in favor of Linux and Mac, only one Windows machine left (for games)

All,
for the past few months I have received a number of updates to Windows 10In this same time period the occasional Win problems have grown to be much more than annoying
After a crash during the Wed Zoom Call -- it took me more than 1 hour to have a pseudo-functioning Win 10 computerAt this point I get a half dozen or so messages of the nature of failure to find dll or even more bizarre messages such as
Has anyone else experienced creeping- Win-10 problemsDoes anyone have a fix or Does anyone have a contact who is skilled in addressing these kinds of things
Thanks
