[Lex Computer & Tech Group/LCTG] Thank you for contributing to LCTG Hybrid Meeting System

Folks,

I want to thank all who have contributed to cover the costs of the parts
that went into the LCTG Hybrid Meeting System.

To date, we have collected $1205 from 19 members of LCTG which more than
covers the $753 that has been spent on the parts for the system to date.
The remaining $452 and any additional contributions that are made will be
used to address the inevitable set of problems that crop up in the infancy
of a new system.  These expenditures will be reviewed and approved by me,
Steve Isenberg, Peter Albin, Bob Primak and John Rudy before they are
committed.

In the future, Steve Isenberg and I will be experimenting with ways to
improve the quality of audio coming from the Meeting Room.  We welcome
hearing about ideas others may have about how to do this. This may involve
"rules" for using this system (e.g., types of open microphones) or
additions of equipment to help with audio clarity.  We will continue to
favor inexpensive, off the shelf solutions over some of the expensive
approaches that are being applied to this problem by industry vendors such
as Zoom <https://zoom.us/pricing>.

At some point we will make a public presentation about the system we have
developed to the greater Lexington Community and offer our design (not our
actual physical system) to others who may like to have a similar system for
hybrid meetings for online participants and participants in a medium sized
meeting room.  I will make sure people on this list are included in any
announcements of this presentation.
