Years ago, there was a story going around of some guy who thought he could out smart the police by getting the license plate "NONE", thinking that the ticketing system would think the police didn't record his plate when they handed in a ticket.

 

Instead, it charged him with all the tickets that actually had no recorded plate.

The old TV comedy Home Improvement had a lot of "Al" jokes due to Richard Karns playing Tim the Tool Man's assistant Al Borland.
