Thanks so much for all this info 
.it sounds great and i need a new watch anyway. my old mechanical kinetic seiko died.

. i didnt pay attention to the posts originally because my wife was home all day and i felt safe ..  ,now she is in boston 3 days a week and i realized if i fell i would be alone  
so i should have a device to get help. 

you gave me all the options and i will explore  them and get back if i need more, 
one issue is my Samsung phone is like me , very old.. but i do have verizon carrier.
