I don't own any of the watches in this list, but it looks like a reasonably
well researched list, with Apple Watch or Samsung Galaxy Watch being the
best choices:

I have a Garmin Vivoactive 3 that doesn't support fall detection. Watches
with their own cellular connection would probably be worth it so they can
work even if not connected to a phone, though that of course increases
their price.
