[Lex Computer & Tech Group/LCTG] Eye lenses after cataract surgery

My wife, who will become bionic sometime soon (i.e., will have eye 
lenses embedded after cataract surgery), has been presented with the 
following lens choices:

 1. Monofocal (Bausch and Lomb),
 2. Trifocal (Synergy and Panoptix), and
 3. Extended-Depth-of-Focus (Vivity by Alcon)

Is there anyone on the list willing to share their:

  * Scientific knowledge/advice (i.e., someone with background in optics)
  * Lessons learned from self- or family-experience

about these (and any other?) lens categories??
