This article (https://www.higherlogic.com/blog/spf-dkim-dmarc-email-authentication/) is a decent overview of the main  mechanisms used to determine if an email is genuine.  Unless you run your own mail server and domain (not an easy task), there's not a lot you can do to influence this..it's in the hands of your email provider, but it can be helpful to understand the failure modes.
