[Lex Computer & Tech Group/LCTG] strange in Outlook

1.
About 20% of the incoming messages come in twice, with the same time stamp. About half the time one of the messages shows up in spam.
I use Claws Mail, and this happens to me when using POP-3 sometimes. It seems to be an artifact caused by time/date stamps looking to the client as just a bit different.
Often happens to messages left on the server after being downloaded. They fail somehow to get marked as already downloaded. This also means these messages may get flagged as duplicates, triggering them to be sent to local Spam.
My Claws Mail does not have explicit Spam folders, so everything remains in the Inbox, which can create a bit of a mess.
BTW, if you want a real mess, go into your web mail, go to settings, and set POP-3 to download all mail, even if it was previously downloaded!
There is a practical use for this, as I just demonstrated to myself. I changed the caches and one other active temp folder while my Claws Mail was open. The most recent downloaded email messages disappeared and refused to download again. So I went into GMail and set POP-3 to download everything. It was messy, but I finally got things cleaned up and got all my missing messages downloaded. After fixing my goof, I went back into the GMail web interface and set everything back to normal.
GMail seldom generates POP-3 duplicates. But Yahoo Mail is notorious for doing this. I don't know about Outlook.
I suspect your issue, John, is a variant on this theme.
For this aspect of POP-3 I have no fix.
2. "When you mark an item on an IMAP e-mail server for deletion, the item is displayed in strikethrough text in the header list. However, the item is not removed from the IMAP mail server until a purge command is used."

I don't think you marked these messages for deletion on purpose. Could you have a Rule which did this automatically?
I do know that some group members' email messages routinely end up in my Yahoo Mail's Spam Folder. These are mostly from hosted email services which appear not to be with the major providers. Hence, the server is not recognized and the rest is history.

I have outlook for mail. There are two strange things I have been noticing.
- About 20% of the incoming messages come in twice, with the same time stamp. About half the time one of the messages shows up in spam.
- Messages from (and ONLY FROM) George Gamota show up with his name crossed off. The message is readable and it can be replied to or forwarded
Any ideas?
