There is definitely something to the feel of pen on paper - not just any
pen, the right pen. I have used a surface screen on my iPad combined with
the gen2 Apple Pencil. The screen creates a “rougher” surface that comes
pretty darn close to the feel of high quality paper. Nevertheless, I find
myself sometimes going back to my composition notebook and favorite
Japanese pen.
