I'm saddened, but I think you are correct.
According to Yahoo Help, you can enable automatic email forwarding in
New Mail for Desktop. To do this, you need to upgrade to Yahoo Mail Plus
or subscribe to Access + Forwarding to use the email forwarding feature
in your Settings.
I also concur that email going into the trash automatically is a
separate issue. The person who has the email account that is putting
email in the trash automatically needs to have an email rule set up on
the server telling the mail server that all new email from you is to go
to the inbox and not to trash.
