I also think it is a great idea. We should discuss it at one of our meetings, get a small group to flush out the details.

I like the idea. I’d even except sponsorship shipped from someone with a thin wallet with big numbers in it. :)

All,
It's not much but I propose the following:
We announce that the Lexington Computer & Technology Group has established the <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_H._Holbrow> Charles_H._Holbrow Lecture -- to be presented annually by a distinguished science educator whose "work" espouses the principles and values of Prof. Holbrow
Perhaps we could even get someone with a fat wallet to put some cash behind the the award

Charlie was a wonderful person in many ways; an accomplished physicist and scientist, great presenter and teacher, warm, funny and easy to talk to.
I remember clearly in 2019, he answered my questions and explained how Stonehenge was possibly built 4600 years ago, right after Steve and I came home from our England/Ireland/Scotland trip. I also appreciate all of his presentations for our group.
He is the unforgettable Charlie Holbrow. We are all going to miss him!
Our condolences to Mary and family
Evie & Steve

Folks,
I am very sad to report that Charlie Holbrow died yesterday. Here is an article about him from Wikipedia:
* https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_H._Holbrow
>From his son-in-law Craig Sandler I learned that Charlie had a heart attack last week and died yesterday. He was 88 years old.
In talking with members of the group this morning, there seemed to be agreement that we should devote a session in the future to Charlie, perhaps talking about his lifetime accomplishments and his talks to our group.
We should let this sad news settle in a while and then make a decision about how we are going to honor Charlie at a future session.
Regards,
-- Harry
