[Lex Computer & Tech Group/LCTG] April eclipse

When I first considered watching the April 8th eclipse, I, having grown up
in Lexington, thought, "Oh great, Karin (who lives in Auburndale) and I can
go up to Warren (VT) where her son lives for the eclipse."

That thought lasted about a second, and reality set in.

I'm a full-time RVer living in southern California. We'll do what we did
for the "Great American" eclipse on August 8, 2017: Karin flew from Boston
and I picked her up in the RV at Salt Lake City. We camped somewhere in
northern Utah to check the forecast for eclipse day, prepared to watch from
somewhere between eastern Oregon and eastern Wyoming. We ended up in
Riverton, Wyoming:

So for this one, in early afternoon, I'll pick her up a few days before in
Phoenix or elsewhere along the way, and we'll join other RVer friends
somewhere in Texas, prepared to drive to the best forecast skies between
the Mexican border and Arkansas.

And we still could get skunked! But less likely than in Vermont.

A friend a few sites away was planning to join us, but has decided just to
fly to Mazatlan instead.....
