[Lex Computer & Tech Group/LCTG] Anyone try out Jitsi Meet yet? Free, open source meeting software like Zoom.

Harry,
Thanks. Wasn't exactly sure how long the product had been around. I ran
a test meeting between my cell phone and two Windows computers and aside
from the quality of the video being somewhat poor it works fine. I was
able to make a recording of the meeting on my Windows computer and even
share my screen.
I'm sure zoom is a far more polished software product. Although, a lot
can be said for 100% free video conferencing software. If you run a
small user group, and it only meets once a month, it might work just
fine and meet everybody's needs.
I learned about this software today from a man who runs a Linux user's
group. They decided at the time they wanted to remain open source, no
matter what the limitations.
If you have a small group of friends or family that would like to get
together once in a while on a video conference for more than 40 minutes
on zoom, this is definitely worth a look.
Drew.
