 Out of curiosity, what caused you to opt for a paid Mac cleaning app when there are free apps which can do essentially the same things? 
What you need is an adware detector with removal capabilities. That and a clean reinstall of the Chrome Browser on your Mac, including deleting the existing user profile. (Warning! This will delete all your History, saved Passwords and Autofill items, extensions, themes and settings!)
Malwarebytes is a good antivirus scanner, for Windows  but also for Mac. The most famous (paid) Mac security suite is from Intego. There are others. For Mac, generally paid antivirus is better than free apps. 
(Not the case for Windows, where Defender or Windows Security, which is built-in and already paid for with Windows, is perfectly adequate with maybe a second-opinion scanner (Malwarebytes Free) and an adware cleaner (AdwCleaner from Malwarebytes). Mac has no built-in antivirus features, but Mac DOES NEED antivirus protection!) 
There is also a free browser guard plugin from Malwarebytes for Chrome. I believe this works on Mac as well as on Windows. You might avoid downloading and installing junkware which messes with your browser setup by using this add-on. 
I don't own or use any Apple products or services, so what do I know?
