Nov 27 conflicts with my son’s birthday, but otherwise seems like a reasonable choice..  After some checking, I have found other major occasions for 11/27/2023: Pins And Needles Day, National Bavarian Cream Pie Day, Cyber Monday, National Craft Jerky Day, Turtle Adoption Day.

I am fond of Bavarian Cream Pie, less so of owning a turtle

Thursday is John Rudy Day because I have determined that it doesn’t conflict with all my numerous activities, avoids school holidays, exam season and times when people are hibernating.  The major purpose of the day is to sleep late, WHICH IS NOT THE SAME AS HIBERNATING.

I regret to say that my checking reveals that it conflicts with World Sight Day, National Farmers Day, National Pulled Pork Day, World Arthritis Day, National Gumbo Day and a few other things.
