[Lex Computer & Tech Group/LCTG] NASA tasked with creating a time zone for the moon | The Hill

Some off-the-earth is already in the works like IPFS (decentralized/
distributed inter planetary file system) https://ipfs.tech/

and given that, can crypto be far behind?

(I'm not sure why it's different in space, but sounds cool to think big -
intergalactic vs just 'global').

Smita's point is, I think, that the day/night cycles on the moon are no
longer synchronized with the "beginning" end "end" of a 24-hour earth day.
But just limiting ourselves to the moon is too short sighted. A
scalable/extensible solution would /should include Mars, Jupiter, Saturn,
(all with potentially different light/dark day/night periodicity, and ...
spaces in between? What about travelers to Alpha Centauri ?
