I hate the FDR monument.  The people responsible for its design must have been captured by the “disability rights” crowd.  
One of my favorite photos of FDR (as I remember it) showed him smiling,  with a cigarette in one hand, and reaching out of his car to greet well-wishers.  I think that’s one of the ways he’d want to be remembered.
