[Lex Computer & Tech Group/LCTG] Google customer service telephone

A good question. Basically he had me go thru a bunch of steps which I already did many times with no success but now they worked.

As a bonus I got a download of 416 emails which I did not see.

As to make sure I had the guy wait online for me to restart the computer and all works well – cross my fingers.

FWIW

I have been on hold by GOOGLE to get a human to help me for 57 minutes. I got it by calling 650 253 0000.

Will let everyone know if I do get a human.

As per Bob Eckert and my replies about this topic:

Google has for a few years now required certain types of security protocols for applications accessing their services. If an application does not support these protocols, it must be set up with an App Password. You have to have two-factor authentication for your Google sign-in to create an App Password. Your password alone will not get you into your Google Account if you have set up any App Passwords.

For just logging in, Google may also require everyone now to use 2 Factor Authentication. I have to have my cell phone ready any time I want to log into Google services from my computers or netbook.

Your password obviously still works, so resetting it would not by itself clear up this issue. My Android phone does log in to Google services automatically if I have logged into my phone. iPhones may require a password in addition to being logged into your phone. The phone itself in either case is considered a second login factor.

I am not aware of any telephone support for Google. They do have a help forum. On a device where you can log in, try:

https://support.google.com/accounts/community

Another placxe to stsart with Google Account login issues is here:

Do you log out of Google on your phone? If not, the password might have changed and you are in a “session “ with an old password.

Does Google have a “forgot password “ link?

You may be able to use that if it exists

Alternatively can you change the password from your iPhone?

Also, here’s a link that might help

Guys

I am going nuts trying to retrieve my Google account on my PC. I can get it on my iPhone and can see the password, but the password does not work on my PC.

I have been trying literally for days with no luck.

Does anybody have a telephone number for Google customer service?

George.
