All,

The humour would have been there ---  if the reality of the show wasn't too
close for comfort
You can't make this stuff up -- the collapse of the knowledge-base of the
public is only going to grow worse as we rely increasingly on technology as
our crutch [think calculator then spell check, now ... check]

It's gotten to the point where most of our society is ignorant of most of
what had been Common Knowledge  --- and its not very funny
