[Lex Computer & Tech Group/LCTG] Article which explains what we saw yesterday

I took the Minsky/Papert AI course at MIT in 1969, back in the "G.O.F.A.I."
days (Good-old-fashioned A.I.)

Minsky had just published his "Perceptrons" book, which he apologized to
the class for -- basically he was pissed at someone else getting Navy
research money. He admitted it was an idea worth pursuing.

But of course, the computers of the time were dismal and there was no WWW
to train a system so any research would have been pretty futile.
