What If a Passkey Device is Lost?
If a passkey device is lost, accounts are still accessible through synced passkeys across the user's ecosystem.
Passkeys are stored and synchronized in ecosystems like Apple iCloud Keychain and Google Password Manager, or via third-party password managers, making them available on other connected devices.
Ensure your ecosystem is secured with strong security measures like two-factor authentication (2FA).

Also, the account may be accessible through the password method. But since this often uses 2FA and the 2nd Factor was probably on or sent to your device, this method is not likely to work well. You can do a password reset, but again, this often has a 2nd Factor tied to the lost device. A one-time code can be transmitted to another device.
