[Lex Computer & Tech Group/LCTG] Windows 11 on old machines

It is strongly not recommended to try to follow any of the "workarounds" or "unofficial patching" sites and posts which have been cropping up around the Internet lately.
Some of these hacks may work for awhile for unsupported devices to run Windows 11. But eventually, Microsoft will introduce something which will absolutely block any further updates. With the 24H2 Feature Update, there was an additional CPU instruction which many older processors don't have. There's no fix for that. You will never be able to run Windows 11 24H2 on those older devices.
As for any unofficial patches for older Windows versions, you are at your own risk. These patches are not guaranteed to actually fix anything, and many contain viruses and other malware. Even patches from reliable sites cannot make up for security and functional deficiencies in older versions of Windows.
You can believe me now, or you can believe me when you have a complete system meltdown just as you're trying to log into Zoom to do your scheduled LCTG presentation.

Microsoft won't tell you about this, but there is a site called https://legacyupdate.net/ that provides essential updates for all versions of Windows, including those which are both legacy editions of Windows and current editions.

But you still have options for sneaking past the hardware restrictions.www.zdnet.com |
