To consider:
If you have an old machine that you want to move away from Windows 10,
consider Linux Mint.
Pro: free, similar to Windows, runs on old hardware
Con: You can't run MS Office -- but you can run LibreOffice that is very
much like MS Office (and is free).
Or else you could buy a new PC to run windows 11
or buy a MacBook to get totally out of the Microsoft environment
or you could consider a Chromebook
or you could buy a refurbished PC (starting under $200) or MacBook (even
less) or Chromebook (starting under $100) -- check https://backmarket.com
(I learned of them from Harry and I've had many happy refurbs from them).
Re: Linux, we had a meeting on setting up a Linux machine a while back
(December 2021). Should we have another, where we take an old PC and then
install Linux, set it up, and demonstrate how to use it?
Regards,
-steve
