All,
I found a very nice utility written by a developer in Ukraine. Works
with Windows, Mac, and Linux!!!
https://deskreen.com/
It allows you to use basically any device that you can use a web browser
on as a second screen or a mirrored screen for your computer.
Now, when I am on a zoom call and I'm using my recliner in the living
room I project all the extra Zoom sub windows over to my TV screen very
handy.
If you're doing a presentation and you have the extra presentation
menus bars on your screen and you'd like to get them out of the way you
can use your iPad if you have one as a second display.
If you simply want to mirror your screen to another device like a large
TV nothing extra is required.
If you want to extend your display so you have an additional screen then
you need to get an inexpensive dongle from Amazon and the instructions
are on the developers website. I bought one with a USB C connector
because that's what I have on my laptop and it works great.
For those of you who are running Linux this is the only product that I'm
aware of that would let you use another display whether it be a tablet
another computer or a big screen TV as an extra display.
