Gentle people,
The poorly described Geometry Problem that consumed so much of this group's intellectual energy last week made me long for my "perfectionist" Greek High-School Math teacher whose Geometry Problem statements were always welcome by his students because they were "precision statements".
Since there was so much interest in the recent isosceles triangle problem, attached is one of his isosceles-triangle brain teasers (paraphrased and para-sketched by me, not poorly I hope) for your consideration.
NOTES:1) In the attachment, the "Rules" were the teacher's, not mine2) In the attachment, "No trigonometry/calculus" meant "no use of sines, cosines,..." 3) There were no AIs back in the day; so, I have to add "No AI use either" on my teacher's behalf (hahaha).
Have fun,Tony Galaitsis
