<div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">When I lived in Hull, I donated my old computers and printers to World Computer Exchange, less than 2 miles from my house.<br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">WCE engaged volunteers to repair/rebuild old tech and then shipped them, in
quantity, to third-world countries. They were OK when I removed the
disk drives from my desktop computers before donating them. I don't know
the status of WCE since the passing of its founder. And, it's farther
than Best Buy or Staples for most people. However, they reuse rather
than recycle.<br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><a href="https://worldcomputerexchange.org/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">https://worldcomputerexchange.org/</a></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">I asked Staples whether they wipe the tech or merely recycle them as is. My impression is that they just recycle them, whatever that means.
