This would slow down the entire area, as Comcast uses a trunk and branch configuration, unlike FiOS (Verizon) which uses the old telephone network configuration. </div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">You have control over the equipment and your in-house wiring out to the junction. You don't have control over network or local capacity issues.</div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">Also, make sure you use a speed test which is independent of Comcast.</div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">My own speed is good enough here at Windsor Village in North Waltham. The last time that I saw that speed was maybe two years ago or more. So I complained big time in November and they checked and eventually replaced the wire from the junstikn box to the box outside the house. I was traveling December and got home last weekend.
