<div><div dir="ltr">Gentlepeople-<br></div><div dir="ltr"><br></div><div dir="ltr">As a follow-up to George's excellent presentation today, I have found <br></div><div dir="ltr">information regarding the recent space probe that I asked him about.<br></div><div dir="ltr"><br></div><div dir="ltr">It is the Euclid space telescope launched July 1, 2023, on a Space X <br></div><div dir="ltr">rocket that George mentioned, and is a project developed by the ESA <br></div><div dir="ltr">(European Space Agency). It resides at the L2 point in space (the same <br></div><div dir="ltr">parking lot where the James Webb telescope is located). Its purpose is <br></div><div dir="ltr">to map a large portion of the universe outside the Milky Way and to <br></div><div dir="ltr">gather data about the accelerating expansion of the universe; thus <br></div><div dir="ltr">hopefully giving us more knowledge about Dark Matter and especially Dark <br></div><div dir="ltr">Energy.
