The key difference it seems to me, is how flexible your world-view is, and how quickly you can pivot to new uses of technology as they arrive. </div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">People who are able to catch up with and catch on to the changes which Generative and Agentic AI can and will impose on at least the most menial analytic tasks, will position themselves to take advantage of the efficiencies which AI is introducing. This is not a position of fear and resistance, but one of embracing the power which AI can bring to the more "interesting" tasks which are built from the more "tedious" analytical tasks. <span><span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;">The added efficiency is a force-multiplier, which can empower those who learn to use AI effectively. </span></span></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">Those who fail to realize and come to terms with the power of AI may very well be left in the dust of history. There may not be a need for armies of secretaries typing and retyping paper documents, but there is still a need for people who can read, analyze and respond to documents in real-time. With AI assistance, more data can be processed in less time with potentially more informed outcomes. Or, more data put in might just turn out to be more "garbage in/garbage out". </div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">You can increase production of fine art, technical breakthroughs, or just generate more and more AI Slop. Right now, I think the latter may be going on more than the former. But Agentic AI is still in its infancy, and the future may hold improvements and refinements, making this type of functionality an important force in improving productivity while reducing the amount of drudgery in many types of work.</div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">As long as we make sure to <b>CHECK</b> the AI's <b>WORK</b>! (And its <b>REFERENCES</b>!) One thing I always ask humans is, "<b>HOW</b> do you<b> KNOW</b> that?" Stops many people <b>COLD</b>. We have to be at least as rigorous when dealing with <b>ANY</b> AI-generated outputs. As Mr. Son in the interview put it, there will be times when regulators will require banks to "pull back the kimono" and "see our work". At that point, you'd better be very sure you know <b>EXACTLY HOW</b> the AI came to its "conclusions". </div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">Fascinating account of what's actually happening right now inside one of America's top financial corporations.
