[Lex Computer & Tech Group/LCTG] Fwd: Email being snared by gmail

Hi Larry,
Regarding your message that I saw in my gmail Spam folder (despite a rule I
created to prevent that). Gmail doesn't think it actually came from
verizon.net.
Maybe you had used aol.com and now verizon is sending it as verizon.net and
that's confusing Gmail?

My thoughts, you have two options:
1. You can spend time trying to track down and fix the problem.
Given that it's pretty much outside of anything you can control, I doubt
you will have any level of success.
Did you try putting lctg at lists.toku.us into your address book?
But that won't solve the problem for people who receive (or don't receive)
your messages, like me.

2. Or you can eliminate the problem by creating another email account for
free.
You could use both email accounts, your verizon.net account and your new
email account (e.g., gmail.com).
You could use your new email account for sending and receiving computer
group messages (and maybe nothing else).
This would mean people would get your emails and you would get emails sent
to the group without having to read the list Archives.

I know it's frustrating.
If you don't want to create a new free email account (option 2), please
tell me why.

This seems to be a real problem, that is even worse for Verizon/AOL users.
We do not even see messages we send out to the distribution list. It does
not even put them into the AOL spam folder. I see them in the LCTG
archives but nowhere else. I also don't see them downloaded to my
Thunderbird email client. As far as I can tell I get all the other LCTG
distributed email -- the problem is with Verizon/AOL.

Any ideas would be appreciated. Virginia Forsberg, Steve Isenberg and I
have been goin back and forth on this for about a week.

Hi all,

My gmail spam filter is not kind to some members of this group who use
Verizon or Yahoo. Specifically mail from Robert Primak, Charles Forsberg,
Larry Wittig, Peter Albin in the last couple of days.

Do any others who have gmail have this problem - or is it just me with some
incorrect setting?
