Last night my elderly father was scammed by IT Tech Global Services LLC out of Denver (and who knows where else.) They convinced him his computer was frozen, that he needed to pay them money and they would help him out. Everything about them looked and felt legit, he even spoke with them by phone (much to my dismay.) 

 

The good news is we were able to stop the payment and cancel the credit card, the bad news is they have installed Zoho Assist Unattended Agent on his computer and have access to everything when his computer is turned on.  He shut off his computer last night and will leave it turned off until we find some legitimate help.

 

So, I am looking for someone to remove any remaining malware (we removed what we could last night), uninstall Zoho, reinstall windows and probably reformat the harddrive. I know in the past at least one person on this list has advertised their services. Please contact me off-line with suggestions.
