FYI: I just retrieved the (more expensive 3M) face masks I bought at Home Depot and they are prominently labeled N95, so you may have some. -Bob

Subject: [Lex Computer & Tech Group/LCTG] MEETING NOT CANCELLED! It's going online! See instructions below to join Dr. Jerry Slate's presentation on Tracking New Diseases. 10:0AM Wednesday, March 18, 2020.

At last! Something that hasn't been cancelled. We will meet at the usual time, BUT ONLINE, using the Zoom Video Conferencing Application, facilitated by Steve Isenberg.

There is an instruction page at https://toku.us/zoomish<https://nam12.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Ftoku.us%2Fzoomish&data=02%7C01%7C%7Cb3369fec9b8449020d5408d7c9d930a0%7C84df9e7fe9f640afb435aaaaaaaaaaaa%7C1%7C0%7C637199806963221812&sdata=nNvNyiO%2FXjLf99Av8HFYnret2wDvSEokpBgUk8hHyNo%3D&reserved=0> but note that the URL and phone number shown are examples.

Some time after 9:45AM on Wednesday, March 18, choose one of the following options:

  * To join from PC, Mac, Linux, iOS, Chromebook, or Android: https://bostonu.zoom.us/j/8765746299<https://nam12.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fbostonu.zoom.us%2Fj%2F7491229261&data=02%7C01%7C%7Cb3369fec9b8449020d5408d7c9d930a0%7C84df9e7fe9f640afb435aaaaaaaaaaaa%7C1%7C0%7C637199806963221812&sdata=9djxetPTet8wLnEo%2BNH%2Bbpnpb9FbqRgaQaD58GHkt1I%3D&reserved=0>
  *   One tap mobile (smartphone): +16468769923,,8765746299 #
  *   Using "dumb" phone, dial: 1 646 876 9923 and enter meeting ID:  876 574 6299

Once the connection is established, you may need to locate and use the controls that turn on the sound and the video. You should be able to see and hear others and they should be able to see and hear you, if you have a camera and microphone. A few of us have tried this and it's pretty painless and works really well. Amazing.

Below are our existing plans for Upcoming Meetings. Assuming that things go well on Wednesday the 18th, we will attempt to have an online presentation every Wednesday until the Community Center reopens. These are all tentative because not all of the presenters have agreed to presenting online nor have they been provided with online facilitation.

Apr 15, 2020 Lexington Communications Advisory Committee (Ken Pogran), Winchester Advisory Committee (Don Nelson), Lex Media (Florence DelSanto); (Harry Forsdick facilitator) members. Subjects might include the future of 5G. Must get Florence OK.

Apr 22, 2020 Potpourri led by Peter Albin. In the Dining Room from 9:30 to 11:00AM.

Apr 29, 2020 The Science behind Columbus (Bob Melanson, member)

May 13, 2020 Nuclear Power Generation (Dave Kahan). Confirmed
