 Gentlepeople --
Read online reviews of this company.
Before COVID-19 they had been held in high regard, with only occasional mess-ups which the company was glad to promptly resolve.
Since COVID-19 many more complaints. Poor quality frames which fall apart, wrong prescriptions, scratched lenses, surly customer service reps.
These reviews must be balanced with many more reviews which are very positive.
So it appears this is currently a hit-or-miss operation. Shipping times are also frequently cited as taking weeks or even over a month. Again, this is all post-COVID-19.
I think I'll stick with my middle of the road approach with Warby-Parker. If anything goes wrong, they can be reached out of their New York City customer service center, and they have a physical location in Harvard Square.
For just single-vision reading glasses with no special requirements I have no arguments against trying the goggles4u option. But be aware you may be getting exactly what you pay for. Especially in terms of shipping times and customer service experience if anything goes wrong.
The other advantage of a physical store is that if the glasses frame needs adjustments, Warby Parker can do these locally, and you don't have to risk frame damage or even lens damage by trying to make adjustments yourself.
By the way, if you have a good measurement of your pupillary distance, you should not need to update that measurement. It's once per maybe a decade that the number might change a little.
Simple PD Ruler:https://www.zennioptical.com/printable-pd-ruler-download?gclsrc=aw.ds&gclid=EAIaIQobChMItI6v3JTG7AIVk47ICh0dtgCbEAAYAyAAEgL-K_D_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

And there are iPhone Apps for this. Warby-Parker will measure in-store at Harvard Square.
Definitely with all glasses, stay away from rimless designs. These are the ones which are most breakage prone and least likely to be treated well under warranty. That applies to any eyewear purchase anywhere.
In the future, I would only use a full-price optical shop like LensCrafters if I needed my glasses very quickly. This only happens if I don't have a reasonably good backup pair. Using any online shop, I can afford a backup pair for any of my needs.
Also, frames are where the brand-name shops make most of their money. Online places rarely charge premium prices just for a stylish frame. Except for the cheapest online shops, frame quality does not suffer from lower prices.
You can choose for yourselves, but this is my evaluation. The cheapest online places are for me just not worth the risks and possible hassles if things go wrong. But hey, worst case scenario, you're out less than $10.00.

Gentlepeople,During the meeting today we discussed getting reading glasses that had reflective coatings.  Coincidentally I received this email advertisement and the group requested I send it to everyone.I have bought glasses from Goggles4U and in fact I was using a pair I'd bought earlier, during the meeting today.  Regards (safely from a distance),
-stevePS: Disclaimer, I am a happy customer and have no financial involvement with the company.
Links/advice maybe of interest:What do all the measurements mean?  http://optometristattic.com/measure.htmHow to measure pupillary distance?  https://www.zennioptical.com/measuring-pd-infographicI've also measured my PD by: hold ruler with mm scale above my eyes, face camera from about 14" (reading distance), take picture of me with ruler, measure distance between pupils in photo.
