[Lex Computer & Tech Group/LCTG] Should You Get Your COVID-19 Vaccination Card Laminated?

It wasn't clear to me that Staples was laminating copies of the card. That seems like a good idea. As long as you keep track of where you put the original.
When I went for my second Pfizer dose, I couldn't remember where I had filed my card. I later found it in my all-in-one copier!! So I copied the replacement card, and kept both originals in my medical portfolio where they were supposed to have been all along.

STAPLES copied our family cards and laminated the copy leaving the original for later needs. This was done for no charge as advertised.

I'm in North Carolina and I'm not so sure it would be easy to get a copy of the card. It's much easier to protect the original!

The article alludes to this, but I want to emphasize that vaccination records, including COVID-19 are kept in a State Registry.

The information there may not be entirely up to date, but MIIS does eventually get the records of all reportable immunizations, including COVID-19.

I have made a couple of copies on durable card stock of my vaccine card.

I had my shots done at a Mass center, they sent the info to my medical portal of my PC. Most likely the distribution  system will improve by the time we need to do this again. Arnie

The problem with getting the card laminated is that if (when?) we need a booster, the card can't be updated. I think a better solution is putting it in a protective sleeve, like these:
