Michael,
Here is what I found. I have a Blu-ray connected to my computer, but I
don't use it to play movies. Don't have any to test with, otherwise I would.
*Is the disk commercially protected with DRM?* *Even with the library
properly installed and configured, VLC will not work in this
environment*. It is defense against people ripping movies off.
The Microsoft store has a free player that may work. Search for "Blu-ray
Player Pro".
This website has a free player they claim works, and also several others
that are commercial players. You'll likely need a commercial player,
only I can't properly advise regarding which one.

If the disk is *not protected*, you can follow these instructions to add
the proper library.
