Maybe a dedicated (portable) BR disk player at about $100 or $200 might be
ok? Basically why play BR on your laptop computer, the living room big tv
is the place to watch those 4k movies anyway.
If the portable BR player has hdmi out, get a video grabber (hdmi —> usb)
for less than $20 and capture it to display on your laptop.
Besides, Intel is dropping support for 4k/uhd BR in their cpus

Are you intending to use the BR as storage? Or just entertainment?
