That is why it fits into a potpourri. Can be 15 mins, or whatever.Sent from Samsung Galaxy smartphone.

    John,

If folks have some basic questions i can answer,
        I'd be happy to.
Because there is really only one choice I don't
know that there is enough material for a meeting. It can be
added as a brief topic to discuss at any one of the Potpourri
sessions. I'm sure there will be 15 minutes somewhere if there
        is interest.

There is really only one browser guard that I use
and recommend and that's the Malwarebytes Browser Guard.

It is a complementary product to a traditional
antivirus software program. NOT a replacement. The free Avast
One antivirus program that I use on my second machine is very
good at catching browser malware and especially phishing sites.
On my windows 11 computer I have a combination of
the free Avast One antivirus software and the Malwarebytes free
browser guard. Both of them catch phishing websites.
Malwarebytes usually catches a malicious website first and if
for some reason it does not Avast will.

My Windows 10 machine has the paid version of
Malwarebytes Premium and the Malwarebytes browser guard. It also
        passes malware tests.
Here is a website that will accurately/safely test
your currently installed anti-virus protection. If all you have
running is the basic windows defender software, your computer
will likely fail at least some of the malware
tests as Defender does not excel at real-time website
protection. If anyone is apprehensive running the tests which
I'm sure there is I will run this website test live during a
meeting so people can see how it works. The tests are all benign
and my computer catches every single one of them.

With Malwarebytes browser guard and NO anti-virus
        software, not even windows defender:

        Could
you please discuss this at a meeting?  How much time do you
need?  I never heard of a browser guard

        This is precisely why a
browser guard is CRITICAL! I never go anywhere without one.
        Malwarebytes, an extremely
reputable company offers their browser guard for free! Both
            for Firefox and Chrome.
        "Malwarebytes Browser
Guard gives you a safer and faster web browsing experience. It
blocks trackers and malicious websites while filtering out
annoying ads and other unwanted content. In fact, you can
browse up to four times faster.
It is the world’s first browser extension that can identify and block new fake tech support scams. And Malwarebytes Browser Guard crushes pop-ups, browser hijackers, and browser lockers with ease."
        https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/malwarebytes-browser-guar/ihcjicgdanjaechkgeegckofjjedodee?hl=en
        There's also a Firefox
            Extension.
        Malwarebytes Premium offers
real-time web site protection that has saved me from opening
            or being redirected somewhere suspicious.

ALL of the phishing IQ tests
are merely picture files. The hyperlinks are part of the
picture and are completely safe. I did have a tough time
            with them.

phishing email is to hover over the
links (which may be dangerous these
                                days)and check the header information
for clues that the sender or the links

we may have received in the past from
the companies we do business with.

these clues, the person being tested is
guessing in the dark. I have personally
never done business with any of the
                                alleged senders except Google. And
Google has never sent me an emaill
resembling the sample in the test.

                            This test is
in my judgment bogus and misleading, to
say the least. It is worse than useless.
And may cause undue alarm in anyone
"failing" this "test". I hope no
employer is firing people for failing
