Michael,
What error did Bitlocker give you and how did you resolve it?

Assuming you do have a MIcrosoft account, have you tried logging using
those credentials?

DId you try calling Dell?

What type of recovery are you seeking?
Because you could install a new OS.  (You did backup your important files,
right?)
